Arashiyama is one of the most popular places to go sightseeing when visiting Kyoto. Located in the western outskirts of Kyoto, Arashiyama draws many visiting tourists for its beautiful and scenic bamboo groves, beloved moon-crossing bridge called Togetsu-kyo, nostalgic Sagano Romantic Train, and more. Standing and walking through the bamboo groves is like being in another world.
There are many small shops and café where you can have a rest and enjoy the traditional Japanese food and sights. Located right next to the Bamboo grove entrance, the beef tongue skewer, Gyutan-gushi, was very chewy but flavorful and you can see it cooked in front of you. The Arabica coffee was extremely creamy, and you can choose the latte art design for your own drink.
