In Japan, the heat of the summer lingers for a month or so. The temperature is too hot every single day, and you may be thinking the summer in Japan is not a good time to visit. However, there are some places that are good for cooling. If you visit Japan in summer, let’s fully enjoy the summer season!

We are going to share with you 3 summer retreats.

Osaka: Minoh Falls

It was chosen as the best 100 forest in Japan and there are many negative ions. It is easily accessible from Osaka City in about 30 mins, and you can enjoy nature from away from the hustle and bustle of a big city.

The falls is also chosen as the best 100 waterfalls in Japan. It is overwhelmed by the water pressure, which is very high by 5 meters in width and 33 meters in height. It maintains the road to going to the basin so you can feel more enjoyment to see a full impact of the falls.

Hyogo: Nunobiki Waterfall

It is one of the best 3 waterfalls and chosen as the best 100 waterfalls in Japan. There are 4 waterfalls separately called Ontaki, Mentaki, Meotodaki, and Tsutsumigadaki. The upstreamist waterfall is 43 meters in height.

There is a hiking trail that takes about 30 mins to enjoy both the waterfall and panorama scenery. The best spot to go for a walk full of negative ions in the forest. It is maintained so it is easy for the beginners.

Highly recommend it if you are looking for somewhere easy to go since it is a very accessible spot among summer spots in the Kansai area.

Wakayama: Nachi Waterfall

One of the 3 best waterfalls in Japan is the height and amount of water. It is selected as the world heritage site and the best 100 waterfalls in Japan. It is breathtakingly beautiful and makes us feel cool just looking at the falls.

From the 133 meters cliff, the water is falling strongly and intensely is overwhelming.

Around the waterfalls, there is a Nachi Primeval Forest, Nachi Genshirin, you can also enjoy going for a walk with many negative ions.
