Fukuoka is one of the best “Yatai” in Japan. There are over 100 street food stores and they are always crowded with people who love eating and enjoying with family, friends, and strangers.
Most stores open at 7pm and some stores open at 6pm. You should not stay for a long time in one place because each place only about 7 to 10 people can be seated. They suggest going from store to store like a pub crawling is a good way to enjoy Yatai.
There are a variety of foods such as ramen, oden, yakitori and tempura and also bars, coffee, multiethnic food and more.
