[Gunma] Shorinzan Daruma-ji Temple

The Shorinzan Daruma-ji Temple is known as the origin of the Fuku-Daruma, located in Takasaki, Gunma Prefecture where it is the largest producer of Daruma Doll in Japan.

The Fuku-Daruma is a good luck charm and it is considered to bring good fortune.

Here is how to make a wish with daruma.

  1. Purchase your daruma 
  2. Draw a big right eye while making a wish
  3. Once your wish comes true, draw a left eye to express your gratitude
