Takeda Castle Ruins is a famous castle in the sky since it looks similar to the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, and located in Hyogo prefecture which is in the Kinki Region. The original Takeda Castle was built in 1443, and abandoned in 1600. It is designated as a National Historic Site which is an important cultural property and one of the 100 best castles in Japan.
Takeda Castle Ruins are also famous for seeing a sea of clouds, and it is going to be incurred from September to November early morning until 8 AM. The conditions are very important to see the sea of clouds clearly: humidity, weather, and etc. Once a sea of clouds appears around, you can enjoy the panoramic view that you feel wrapped in the sea crowds. From the Ritsuunkyo, across from Takeda Castle Ruins, you can enjoy seeing the castle in a sea of clouds.
We suggest bringing a flashlight, raincoat, and some warm clothes when you go to see a sea of clouds!
