Just southwest of Tokyo is Mt. Fuji, Japans most well-known site. Standing at 3,776 meters tall (12,388 ft), this active volcano is commonly referred to as Fuji-san. Considered as one of Japans three sacred mountains, and a popular hiking destination, you can find this mountain as subjects to many pieces of art.

At the base of Mt. Fuji, you will find the town of Hakone. Best known for its hot springs, Hakone offers astonishing views of the local mountainous area.
