Japan Entry Updates October 2022

Beginning October 11, 2022, U.S. citizen tourists will no longer need visas for short-term visit to Japan (up to 3 months). However, there are a few restrictions and travel requirements regarding COVID-19.
All entrants to Japan are required to provide either a proof of vaccination (3 doses of vaccines) or a negative COVID test result certificate taken within 72 hours before departure. From November 1st, 2022, there will be a new web service called Visit Japan Web that is required to download and pre-register before departure or at least 6 hours prior to the arrival time.
If travelling before November 1st, 2022, the required application is MySOS app.
